The Compact Township Foundation (CTF) will host a discussion seminar entitled ‘Enabling land acquisition for Infrastructure: a participatory approach ‘ on Saturday, 15 June 2013 at the BIDS Conference Room . The exploratory discussion will focus on a specific proposal to enable land acquisition, the bottlenecks to implementing such an approach and its relationship with current land laws. The participatory approach is an innovation, and it is also a way to introduce Compact Townships more easily. Renowned academics, researchers, development planners, economists, policy makers and civil society representatives will participate in paper presentation and discussion.
The seminar will be held at 10.00 am on Saturday, 15 June 2013 at the BIDS Conference Room (1st floor), E-17 Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka (Near Science Museum and UGC).
Dr. Akbar Ali Khan, Former Secretary and Advisor to the Caretaker Government will preside over the discussion seminar. You are cordially invited.
